Saturday: Don’t Miss ‘The Cost of Freedom’
Fox News Insider
Getting America back to work – how the Bush tax cuts can do the job! And, Arizona’s immigration roadblock – will it fast track financial problems for other states?
Tune in Saturday at 10a ET.
What was the reaction like to the judge’s decision to block major parts of Arizona’s immigration law? Here are quotes from a few prominent politicians:
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer: “The fight is far from over. Arizona will prevail in its right to protect our citizens.”
President Obama: “It’s important for members of both parties to come together and speak frankly about the challenges we face and to work through areas where we don’t agree-and hopefully find some areas where we do.”
Rep. Bill Shuster (R-PA): “Very disappointed by the AZ immigration ruling. Yet another reason Congress must act to secure our borders.”
Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.): “Once again the federal government has overstepped its power and intruded on states’ rights.”
U.S. Senators John McCain and Jon Kyl (R-AZ): After this decision, it’s even more important to implement our Ten-Point Border Security plan to protect Arizonans and our country.
AZ Attorney General Terry Goddard and Democratic candidate for governor: “Jan Brewer played politics with immigration, and she lost. Now, we should start making smart decisions about immigration – beyond sound bites, fear mongering and political stunts.”

Attorney General Terry Goddard, Tell the families of those killed, raped or injured in other ways that this is nothing more than fear mongering.
The only political stunt I see is the Dems lying about what this law said.

AG Terry Goddard should realize that Gov. Jan Brewer is RIGHT even if he feels she “lost” – the FIGHT is far from over! It’s only just begun, and it takes a strong person to keep going forward for what is RIGHT. When I hear others stating “Racial profiling will occur to those who are legal citizens (legal Mexican immigrants) when they are crossing the border.” I find that a real sorry excuse – because legal immigrants do not “cross the border into the USA carrying backpacks in the middle of the night!!” Legal immigrants have nothing to worry about….and to be asked for identification is something everyone is asked when an officer feels it’s necessary. If you have no proof of identiy, then you need to be dragged in and held until you can prove who you are! This stands for everybody. I am totally in favor of Arizona sueing the federal government – they should be held accountable for the officers who have been killed or injured, and they should compensate the widow of the rancher who was killed this past spring, seeing how the Federal government wants to DO THEIR JOB! They were negligent in doing so, negligent in defending American citizens and law enforcement against Foreigners. ALSO – the money that the USA is giving to Mexico should be halted, and the Republicans in office need to push that fact. The money wasted going to Mexico – could be better applied towards this medical controversy over the 9-11Aid Bil. Discontinue ALL funding to ALL foreign countries and this country might have a chance of Recovery alot quicker than what Obama is doing to bankrupt us.
